On ollut ihana Joulu. Kissamme ovat saaneet paljon lahjoja, herkkuja ja ulkoilua :)
It has been a wonderful Christmas holiday. Our cats have received a lot of presents, delicacies and outdoor activity.

Alfafelis TICA näyttely / Alfafelis TICA Cat Show

Wonderful show arranged by the TICA cat club , Alfafelis, 11-12th of July 2009. We took part only on the second day.
Gucci took 2 finals of three and Pava one final, they were 6th, 9th and 10th best All breed cats in the finals.

Warm thank you's to the friendly cat club Alfafelis and to the guest FIFe Judge, Kai Ruonala and to TICA judges Massimo Picardello and Monika Dany.

Lämpimät kiitokset FINTICA:lle mukavasta näyttelystä. Meillä oli mukanamme Aq-Bars Brazhka ja Pava Sladkoe Pyatnishko of Aq-Bars. Brazhka, 9kk, yllätti meidät täysin kun hänestä tuli aikuisten paras pitkäkarvainen ja kaikkien rotujen finaalin toiseksi paras kissa. Oli todella kiva näyttely. Kiitos myös Ässän ja Karkin palvelijoille Tommille ja Johannalle. Kiitos, Royal Canin Finlandille upeista ruseteista ja palkinnoista.

Thank You to FINTICAT for arranging such a nice TICA show.
I had with me Aq-Bars Brazhka and Pava Sladkoe Pytanishko of Aq-Bars.
Brazhka surprised us all by becoming the Best Long Hair and the second best in All breed adult finals. Thank you to Royal Canin, Finland for the nice rosettes and awards.

CFA näyttely/show Lahti 14-15.3.2009

Ässästä tuli CFA Premier ja plokkasi neljä finaalia kuudesta!

Suloinen, ihana ja niin persoonallinen rakas Karkki :) Ässän bestis ja siskopuoli. Pärjäsi hienosti näyttelyssä. Onneksi olkoon Karkki :)

Näinkin voi käydä, this can happen

Kuvassa tuore arpi on entisen kissani sterilisaatio leikkaushaava. Sen alta kulkee vanha huomattavasti isompi arpi 5 cm navan molemmin puolin.
Kasvattajan kertomuksen mukaan kissalla ei ollut napatyrä vaan 1-2mm kolo. Hän teetti pennulle korjausleikkauksen. Kun saimme kissan pyysin napatyrättömyystodistusta. Kasvattaja ilmoitti että minun pitää omalta eläinlääkäriltäni sitä kysyä.

Kasvattajan antaman Suomen Kissaliiton sopimuksen mukaan kyseessä oli siitos ja näyttelytasoinen kissa.

Koska en ole saanut napatyrättömyys todistusta ja kissalle oli kuitenkin tehty korjausleikkaus josta minulla ei ollut mitään eläinlääkärin lausuntoa päätin olla käyttämättä sitä jalostukseen. Kissan myin lemmikiksi.

Leikkaava eläinlääkäri oli sanonut omistajille että; "Se nainen (eli minä) joka on myynyt tämän kissan teille ja poistanut sen jalostuksesta on tehnyt aivan oikein".

Maksoin kissasta 650 euroa, kasvattaja antoi minulle korjausleikkauksen takia alennuksen. Myin kissan 350 eurolla, koska kasvattaja perui lunastuslupauksensa.

English:

I bought myself a female for breeding purposes. I was told that the kitten has a small hole in her belly, 1-2 mm that was not a navel hernia. The breeder suggested a cosmetic surgery and I agreed. However, despite several efforts and requests of a vet certificate that states the cat beeing suitable for breeding for lack of navel hernia was never issued to me. I was told by the breeder to get such a certificate from my own vet.
I had therefore, no choice, than to sell the cat as a pet to a furr ever home. The new owners sterilised the cat, as agreed and when her fur was shaved, the surgeon vet discovered a large scar in the cats' belly. The scar was 5 cm, on the both sides of her navel. The surgeon had stated to the new owners the following:" The woman (me) who has sold this cat to you and deleted the cat from her breeding program has done the right thing".
On sales contract it was clearly stated that the cat was for breeding / show. I payed for the cat 650 euros, received a discount from the breeder due to the surgery. I sold the cat for 300 euros to the family, since the breeder withdrew the promise of purchasing back the kitten for the full amount.

Metsäkävely, puutarhassa touhua, forest walk, fun in the winter garden

Kissoillamme on oma tarha, siellä on iso koivu, iso sireenipuska, kaksi kissataloa ja muita kiipeilymahdollisuuksia. Onhan, se todella hyvä juttu. Mutta, kaikkein kivointa on viedä kissat metsäkävelylle tai puutrahaamme "hillumaan" :)

Our cats have access to a cat pen which has a big birch tree, a syren bush, two cat houses and other climbing fascilites. However, nothing beats a nice walk in the forest or a nice time in our garden where they can run almost freely, ofcourse under supervision of us.
